Job Summary
Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Manager Networks systems the incumbent will supervise a team of GIS personnel to manage the Geographic Information System (GIS) assist in the development of capital improvement projects and provide technical support to the network systems maintenance and engineering departments. The incumbent will be responsible for deploying the GIS and hydraulic model at all NY/NJ companies over the next 3 years.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Manager will oversee the development and deployment of the GIS at all NY/NJ Operations.
- Manager will develop plan and documentation to rollout the GIS to field personnel for all NJ/NY companies.
- Manager will provide training to field personnel for the rollout of the GIS onto personal computers.
- Manager will provide technical support to the network system maintenance and engineering departments as it relates to the hydraulic capabilities and limitations of the network operation.
- Manager to work directly with various departments to assist in special projects as required for improved customer relations.
- Manager will develop monitor and control capital budget for the requirements of the GIS
- The Manager will be responsible for developing and producing information and reports to various departments.
- Manager will make review recommend and implement any operational procedures and quality control measures for the staff as approved by the Manager Networks systems.
- Responsible for training on the GIS system and KEY system or subsequent database as required.
- He/She will be the Team Leader between all departments to help motivate develop & initiate measures for improvement and is responsible for user training on assigned systems.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- BA in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years Utility experience with specific experience in engineering and GIS development.
- Experience in managing and adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent analytical organizational computer and interpersonal skills.
- Abilities to set daily priorities and work schedules.
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to manage projects and adhere to budgets.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and ESRI software.
- Working knowledge of both manual and automated systems and computer operations to be capable of performing the utilization and user training associated with this position.
Additional Information :
Pay Range: $70000 to $72000 per year.
