Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to lead and support safety-critical automotive projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards across the product development lifecycle working on ECUs ADAS Body Powertrain Chassis and Infotainment systems.

• Lead functional safety activities for automotive ECU and system-level projects.

• Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and determine ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Levels).

• Develop and review Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).

• Define analyze and trace safety requirements across system hardware and software levels.

• Conduct safety analyses: FMEA FMEDA FTA DFA and dependent failure analysis.

• Support safety verification validation and confirmation reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Systems Hardware Software Testing Cybersecurity).

• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 work products and lifecycle activities.

• Participate in customer discussions audits and safety assessments.

• Create and maintain Safety Cases and documentation.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Electronics Computer Engineering or related field.

• 7 years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety.

• Strong understanding of ISO 26262 and automotive development processes.

• Hands-on experience with HARA FSC TSC FMEA FMEDA FTA and Safety Case development.

• Proficiency in safety requirements management tools: DOORS Polarion Codebeamer Jama.

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN FlexRay Ethernet) preferred.

• Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.

• Excellent problem-solving communication and stakeholder management skills.
