Customer is built on a continuously maintained data asset of extraordinary scale. As part of the Maps Data organization we build the internal tools that power how data sources get fused. Were looking for a contract software engineer to join a team building a critical internal tool to debug and analyze of POI dataset. This is a hands-on role with an immediate need to ship features enhancements and fix bugs in a production TypeScript/React codebase that integrates deeply with APIs.
Youll interact with a senior team of engineers and stakeholders that expect precision and domain involvement. We strongly value engineers who use GenAI tooling and the ideal candidate is already using Claude Code as a core part of their development workflow. We want someone who uses these tools to move faster while maintaining high quality.
Key Responsibilities
Build new select features across the Artemis web platform as specified by our product owner and stakeholders in our OPS that use the software
Work with internal APIs and our extensive data model and expose them in rich user-friendly UI
Collaborate stakeholders on product design operations data modeling and backend teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions raise the bar on legacy software
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of Proficiency in TypeScript and React
Experience with navigating a large monorepo component architecture and shipping production-quality code Demonstrated day-to-day use of GenAI development tools (Claude Code Copilot Cursor or similar)
Ability to build deep domain understanding quickly and connect it with UX
Attention to detail in code UI behavior and data correctness
Strong collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with maps GIS geospatial data or the mapping industry (strong plus)
Familiarity with macOS-integrated web applications or similar embedded JS plugin architectures
Understanding of data validation workflows
