Flightline Readiness Tech Inspector Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Flightline Readiness Tech Inspector Manager (Level K) to support the Field Quality team onsite in Renton Washington.

This position requires a critical thinker with strong business acumen who is passionate about coaching and eager to drive cultural change within the organization. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability trust teamwork quality and safety. This role will lead a team of 10 people.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of employees responsible for evaluating and ensuring that products services and processes meet customer contract requirements engineering standards company procedures and government regulations

• Develop and implement effective business plans policies and procedures aimed at enhancing performance and quality outcomes

• Create and execute organizational and technical strategies that promote continuous improvement and operational excellence

• Provide education and coaching on the Quality System empowering team members to understand and uphold quality standards

• Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies ensuring compliance and safety

• Acquire and manage resources efficiently leading initiatives that drive process improvements and optimize performance

• Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports to foster collaboration and success

• Inspire develop and motivate employees cultivating a high-performance culture that embraces change and encourages professional growth

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience in a production/factory environment

• 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint)

• Willing and able to work any shift (as needed to support mission requirements including weekends and holidays and to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required)

• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functional project/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience leading or managing multi-functional teams within a Quality Management environment

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or an FAA Repairmans Certificate

• Bachelors Degree or higher
