Fleet Mechanic

Title of position: FLEET MECHANIC

Position type: Full Time

Pay range: $30.00 - $45.00/Hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday - NO WEEKENDS

Requirements We Look For In A Fleet Mechanic:

• Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma GED or equivalent experience preferred

• Minimum 2 years of Fleet Mechanic Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience required

• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical hydraulic electrical and engine-related issues

• Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls effectively

• Valid drivers license required

• ASE certifications are a plus but not required

• Must be dependable professional and customer-service oriented

Fleet Mechanics Are

• Responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations.

• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and identifying mechanical issues before equipment failure occurs.

• Responsible for repairs involving brakes batteries tires fluid services electrical systems hydraulics engines and general fleet maintenance.

• Responsible for troubleshooting medium-duty trucks heavy-duty trucks construction equipment tractors and additional fleet vehicles.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of completed repairs parts usage and service records.

• Responsible for communicating repair recommendations and equipment concerns directly with customers in a professional manner.

• Responsible for prioritizing repair needs to minimize downtime and maintain customer operations.

• Responsible for representing the company professionally while working at customer and service locations.

• Responsible for maintaining communication with management regarding repairs parts needs scheduling and service updates.

• Responsible for following all company safety procedures and operational standards.

• Other duties as assigned.
