Summary
Curran Development Group is partnering with a reputable commercial construction firm in the Rochester and Western New York region to hire dedicated Field Technicians for hands-on roles in construction and field operations. This position offers a dynamic team-driven environment for individuals eager to build practical skills and grow in a structured safety-focused construction setting. Whether youre new to the industry or bringing prior experience this role provides comprehensive on-the-job training and opportunities to contribute to high-quality commercial projects. Responsibilities span carpentry framing drywall finish work demolition excavation support material handling and general labor across indoor and outdoor sites. The ideal candidate is dependable physically capable and committed to safety quality and project success.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily field operations on active commercial construction and renovation projects
- Perform a variety of construction tasks including carpentry framing drywall installation finish work and general labor
- Maintain clean safe and organized jobsites in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Transport load unload and store materials and equipment efficiently and safely
- Operate hand and power tools with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with project managers foremen and field supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
- Adapt quickly to changing job site conditions project scopes and evolving priorities
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic punctuality and consistent attendance
- Physical ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments including extreme weather conditions
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
- Reliable personal transportation required for daily commute to multiple job sites
- No prior construction experience necessarycomprehensive on-the-job training provided
- Military veterans and transitioning service members encouraged to apply
