Job Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting repairing and improving facility infrastructure and support systems within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary technical resource for HVAC electrical distribution compressed air systems overhead cranes building automation systems and other critical utilities to ensure safe reliable and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure. Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480V including panels transformers motors VFDs lighting and controls. Maintain and service commercial/industrial HVAC systems chillers boilers cooling towers air handlers and refrigeration equipment. Support facility utility systems including compressed air ventilation plumbing process cooling cranes hoists and other support equipment. Utilize CMMS software to manage work orders maintenance schedules and asset records. Coordinate contractors and vendors while ensuring compliance with plant safety requirements. Maintain compliance with OSHA EPA NFPA and company safety standards. Support facility improvement projects asset management and capital planning initiatives.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
Valid HVAC License or HVAC Journeyman Certification. Valid Electrical License Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification. EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification. Valid Drivers License. Minimum 5 years of industrial facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with industrial HVAC systems electrical systems up to 480V compressed air systems overhead cranes building automation systems and CMMS software.
Preferred Qualifications 7 years of manufacturing facilities maintenance experience. OSHA 10/30 Certification. PLC troubleshooting VFDs motor controls and predictive maintenance experience. CMRT CFM or FMP certifications.
