Facilities Maintenance Tech I

SUMMARY:The Facility Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and functional manufacturing environment by performing custodial duties on the manufacturing floor routine maintenance lawn care and snow removal. This position ensures the facility and grounds meet safety and cleanliness standards contributing to efficient operations and a positive work FUNCTIONS: Custodial Duties:Sweep and scrub floors to keep the manufacturing floor free of debris and and maintain walls machinery exteriors and other equipment as touch-up painting and assist in other cosmetic improvements to the manufacturing silos for water and remove as waste and recyclables from designated Maintenance:Transport equipment and furniture throughout the companys buildings. May perform light maintenance and repair on plumbing HVAC heaters fan control units electrical electric motors boilers generators air compressors variable frequency drives and related systems. Assist with carpentry or building projects including roofs overhead garage doors or elevators. Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the Facilities -up and take down event and meeting fixtures. Grounds Maintenance:Mow lawns trim shrubs and remove weeds to maintain an orderly leaves and debris from walkways and snow and ice from parking lots walkways and building salt or ice-melting chemicals to surfaces for the Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions. May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to use hand tools power tools and measuring equipment. Strong troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required. Refer to Viaflex Vehicle Operations Policy CS-13 for guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. May travel to outlying locations up to 10% of the time. Carpentry plumbing mechanical electrical and carpentry training or experience. Proficient with REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:Physical Requirements: Required to sit stand walk bend and reach.
