Role and Responsibilities:
Our SAIL (Social/Emotional and Academic Individualized Learning) Elementary School Program is hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacherto educate students who need the behavioral and emotional support that Shore provides in small structured classrooms.
This position will be located in Cambridge.
Responsibilities include:
Provide specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each students IEP while addressing grade level content standards.
Utilize positive reinforcement behavior modification and classroom routines to shape positive behaviors and create an inclusive safe environment where learning can occur both academically and social/emotionally.
Current DESE licensure inElementary Educationand/orModerate Disabilities for grades 1-6 is required although candidates who are close to licensure or who are eligible for this particular license will be considered.
Salary range: $63696.52-$123530.78 commensurate with experience and education. View our salary schedulehere.

All school staff who may be expected to manage behavior must obtain and maintain certification in Shores approved behavioral safety training program (Safety Care or equivalent). These skills are essential to ensuring the safety of all program participants and staff and to meet state and federal requirements related to the safe implementation of behavior intervention plans.
