The EHS Specialist will support Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities at a manufacturing facility in New Kensington PA. This role will focus on day-to-day execution of EHS programs including inspections compliance support and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine EHS inspections audits and facility walkthroughs
Track and manage corrective actions from audits and inspections
Maintain active floor presence and engage with employees on EHS topics
Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement
Assist with incident documentation and tracking
Assist with the development implementation and documentation of EHS programs
Maintain EHS records logs and compliance documentation
Support preparation of regulatory reporting (environmental and safety)
Assist with preparation coordination and delivery of EHS training programs
Help develop and distribute safety communications
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in Safety Management Environmental Health Industrial Hygiene or related field
0 2 years of EHS experience (internships/co-ops acceptable)
Basic understanding of OSHA/EPA/PADEP regulations
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Preferred
Manufacturing or industrial experience (internship or full-time)
Exposure to ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 systems
