Distribution Clerkis responsible for the internal movement of goods. After products are processed by the Receiving Department you will verify documentation categorize items and ensure they reach the correct stockrooms. This role also includes occasional local delivery driving to transport goods to off-site locations or partners.
Key Responsibilities
Intake & Verification:Accept incoming products from the Receiving Department. Carefully review packing slips invoices and purchase orders to ensure the physical count matches the documentation.
Routing & Sorting:Identify the correct destination for all items based on SKU product type or department. Move goods to the designated stockrooms or staging areas efficiently.
Inventory Documentation:Update logbooks to reflect the movement of goods ensuring 100% accuracy in tracking.
Delivery Operations:Operate company vehicles to perform local deliveries or transfers between facilities. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety protocols.
Safety Compliance:Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jacks hand trucks) and maintain a clean hazard-free workspace.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Work involves exposure to varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
Requires a balance of independent driving and collaborative teamwork within the warehouse.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required. Experience in government contract billing and collections preferred.
