Essential Functions
- Assists the Dietitian in implementing nutritional care plans ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Supports the provision of quality food services promoting an enjoyable dining experience for residents guests and staff.
- Collaborates with interdepartmental teams to integrate nutritional care into overall facility operations.
- Aids in maintaining compliance with state federal and accreditation standards including Joint Commission through documentation and adherence to policies.
- Provides nutrition information and education to individuals as designated by the Dietitian.
- Assists in evaluating and improving dining service operations to enhance resident satisfaction and meet nutritional objectives.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents families and staff to foster a supportive and caring environment.
- Supports the Dietitian in conducting audits preparing reports and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensures accurate documentation of nutrition care activities and maintains records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- 0-2 years of experience in nutrition care or food service operations required
- Knowledge of nutrition care principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents families and staff.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using technology including dietary software and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve nutritional and operational goals.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- DTR - Dietetic Technician Registered preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support preferred
- Arizona: Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Registered (NDTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
