Responsibilities:

1. Provides high level technical support database problem management change management and maintenance on systems.
2. Performs problem analysis for complex configurations of critical databases.
3. Performs complex installation configuration customization and tuning. Provides input on answers to technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures.
4. Assists in strategic planning and database architecture and design. Makes recommendations on functional and business requirements.
5. Participates in project activities and provides technical assistance for assigned projects.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
7. Has the ability to adapt to our culture and learn the way we manage and support our systems.

• Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional areas. General knowledge of department/business lines and / or System operations policies procedures and technologies.
• Communications: Excellent interpersonal negotiation creativity attention to detail and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
• Risk Management:The individual is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her functions risk management.
• Decision Making:Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods training business principles and practical experience.

Technical Qualifications:

• Current in-depth knowledge and work experience installing and configuring Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
• Current in-depth knowledge and work experience performing database monitoring and tuning
• Current expert knowledge and work experience with
  1. Database upgrade and patching
  2. Backup and recovery mechanisms of Oracle using RMAN
  3. Database security
  4. Database design database packages and structures
  5. SQL and PL/SQL
• Current expert knowledge and work experience with Oracle Clusterware (CRS) concepts administration and troubleshooting.
• Work experience required
  1. Supporting Patch Set Update/Release Update (PSU/RU) patching
  2. Data Guard configuration switchover and failover
  3. Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM) administration
• Experience/knowledge in AIX/Linux systems Unix networking and storage
• Experience in Windows Operating System
• Intermediate level experience with Ansible
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of scripting and automating Oracle functions.
