Business / Data Analyst Requirements:
- 8 years of Business/Data Analysis experience
- A bachelors degree Is required.
- Must have Advanced SQL excel skills (SQL on Oracle database preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse / Mart concepts.
- Must have experience using Toad and comparing data from various data sources
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Outlook.
- Must have experience using JIRA Confluence
- Strong working knowledge of agile methodology
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
Data Analyst Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex requirements by reading STTMs and apply the knowledge to troubleshoot failures in a production environment
- Propose solutions to resolve the analyzed problem/issue
- Write scripts to correct data (data corrections) and coordinate with the technical team members to ensure the change is delivered to production.
- Verify changes and certify the data after the data correction is implemented
- Articulate technology solutions in consultations with the systems analyst or Tech lead and requirements to diverse internal/external stakeholders integrating process business rules and data to meet business needs.
- Data-driven results-oriented with the ability to quickly analyze data and make decisions that drive performance.
- Understanding of Data Lineage source to target mapping documenting the data elements accurately is strongly needed.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Documenting and communicating the results of data and business requirements
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Managing competing resources and priorities.
- Should be able to complete task with minimum supervision
Role Requirements for Data Analyst Position:
- Overview of the data analyst role emphasizing the need for candidates with strong data analysis skills hands-on Informatica experience and the ability to interact with internal stakeholders
- Core Skill Set: Ideal candidate should possess Strong data analysis abilities be able to read and troubleshoot Informatica code and effectively communicate with business users to resolve issues and clarify misunderstandings.
- Technical and Interpersonal Balance: Need both technically proficient in Informatica and comfortable engaging with stakeholders
- Production Support Focus: clarified that the role is primarily focused on supporting existing production code rather than developing new functionality with responsibilities including identifying and implementing minor code changes and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Testing Responsibilities: There is no dedicated test organization so the candidate is expected to test their own work and understand functionality deeply enough to validate and troubleshoot solutions.
- Stakeholder Interaction: All stakeholders are internal and the candidate will need to communicate directly with business users to understand and resolve data-related issues.
- Desired Experience and Technical Environment: Informatica on AWS S3 and clarified expectations regarding the recency and depth of Informatica experience required for the role.
- Development vs. Analysis Split: Role is weighted towards analysis (approximately 65-70%) with the remaining 30-35% involving Informatica development or code tweaking emphasizing the need for candidates who can navigate and modify Informatica code as needed.
- Cloud and AWS Experience: Data resides on AWS S3 and the infrastructure is cloud-based the core requirement is proficiency in Informatica with AWS familiarity considered beneficial but not essential.
- Recency and Hands-On Informatica Experience: Candidates must have recent hands-on Informatica experience as the role requires immediate ability to read troubleshoot and explain Informatica code without significant ramp-up time.
- Team Structure and Supervision: Candidate will work under a product owner who manages day-to-day activities.
- Supervision and Oversight: Product owner is responsible for daily supervision and team management.
- Work Location and Interview Process:
- Hybrid Work Policy: Team members are expected onsite four days a week with flexibility to choose which day to work remotely except for Fridays when most people are in the office.
- Interview Logistics: confirmed that candidates who progress past the first interview round will be invited for an onsite final interview.
