Position Overview
We areseekinga motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives helping to protect company systems networks and data. The ideal candidate is passionate about information security eager to learn and interested in gaining practical exposure in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assistwith monitoring security systems and alerts toidentifypotential threats or vulnerabilities
Support vulnerability assessments security scans and risk analyses
Help investigate security incidents and document findings
Participate inmaintainingand updating security policies procedures and documentation
Assistwith user access reviews and identity management processes
Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats tools and best practices
Support awareness initiatives including employee cybersecurity training and communications
Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams on security-related tasks and projects
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors orMastersdegree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as network security encryption firewalls and endpoint protection
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Linux) and networking fundamentals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or projects related to cybersecurity ethical hacking or information assurance
Exposure to tools such as SIEM platforms vulnerability scanners or endpoint detection software
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python PowerShell)
Relevant certifications (or in progress) such as CompTIA Security or Network

Intern Hourly Pay Rate:
$25per hour

The target salary range for this position is - annually.The wage range for this role considers many factors such as training transferable skills work experience licensure and certification business needs and market demands.
