Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activities
Implement and maintain firewalls antivirus software SIEM tools and intrusion detection systems
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents
Develop and enforce security policies procedures and best practices
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Secure cloud environments applications and endpoints
Collaborate with IT teams to improve system security
Maintain compliance with security standards and regulations
Create security reports and documentation

Required Skills

Knowledge of network security firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and endpoint security
Experience with cybersecurity tools like Wireshark Nessus Splunk or CrowdStrike
Understanding of cloud security (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows
Knowledge of encryption authentication and access control
Incident response and threat analysis skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Technology or related field
2 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
Relevant certifications preferred:
- CEH
- CompTIA Security
- CISSP
- CISM

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SOC operations and SIEM platforms
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python Bash or PowerShell
Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001 GDPR HIPAA or NIST
