Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cook II to join our culinary team in Greensboro NC.
The Cook II will accurately and efficiently prepare portion cook and present a variety of hot and cold food items for daily meal services including Breakfast Lunch Dinner and Special/Catered Events.
The ideal candidate will have professional kitchen experience strong attention to food quality and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Cook II will accurately and efficiently prepare portion cook and present a variety of hot and cold food items for daily meal services including Breakfast Lunch Dinner and Special/Catered Events.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes quality standards and production guidelines.
- Accurately portion season and present food items while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Prepare hot and cold food items for breakfast lunch dinner and special events.
- Follow standardized recipes and cooking instructions to ensure proper taste texture and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens grills fryers stoves and other food preparation equipment.
- Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping cutting measuring mixing and portioning ingredients.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation including cooking surfaces utensils and equipment.
- Assist with stocking inventory control and proper storage of food supplies.
- Support kitchen operations during high-volume service periods.
- Follow all safety sanitation and workplace procedures.
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant healthcare hospitality school or institutional kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including every other weekend.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while working in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift carry and move food supplies and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
