Job purpose

The goal of this position is todemonstratemaximum efficiency within a manufacturing facilityin the areas of Safety Quality Delivery Cost Productivity People and Continuous Improvement. As our manufacturing technologyautomationand opportunity for optimization increase we musttransfer knowledge network andleveragebest practices within our manufacturing sites as we continue to develop aLean Management Systemto run our facilitieswith high quality output.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

• Manage the CI budget within the facility to ensure projects are returningmaximumsavings to the business by implementing cost saving projectsutilizingboth Lean and 6 Sigma methodologies.

• Conduct weekly and monthly presentations to group leaders and continuousimprovementleadership appraising overall site readiness levels and capabilities.

• Drive targeted sustainable improvement in Safety Quality Delivery and Cost Productivity and People.

• Executes continuous improvement projects within the plantutilizingCItool boxto drive cost savings and productivity improvements

• Develop a facility Continuous Improvement Strategy to include plan development schedules and budgets for projects to improve existing processes.

• Ensure adherence to Lean Methodology including Kaizen 5S Standard Work Daily Management Layered Audit Process and Business Plan development toeliminatewaste.

• Has knowledge in the areas of: 5S SMED TPM VSM PDCA or equivalent A3 Problem Solving.

• Oversee all training at all levels of staff in the PEPSmethodology.

• Identifytrainingneeds of all leadership team developing and implementing the required training.

• Provides quality engineering support for in-progress and final acceptance projects.

• Oversees data collection analysis and other research for quality projects.

• Provides technical operations support for molded fiber manufacturing problems. Develops and leads process-improvement initiatives to address specific issues as they arise with a focus in reducing scrap.

• Develops OEE and Quality improvement plans with the plant operations teams to meet targets. Serves as the central conduit for associated information designed to improve quality and productivity.

• Identifyweak systems strengthen those systems through written procedures and proper training andmonitorcompliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 3-5years of leanand qualityexperience in various complex manufacturingenvironment; dedicated manufacturing Continuous Improvement experience preferred.

• Statistical methods& processimprovement techniques. Superior mathematical& statisticalability.

• PreviousSupervisory or Management experience preferred.

• Experience with Six Sigma Lean Processes Automation andSAP stronglypreferred.

• Project management skills arerequired;as they will oftenbe requiredto work on several improvement projects simultaneously with very disparate groups of people within the organization.

• Must have Microsoft Office experience with advanced Excel Skills.

• Safety -Demonstratesasafety firstmindset in all situations.

Education

• Bachelors degree in a field related to Business Engineering or Packaging Industry.
