CO Technician

We are seeking a Telecom Technician to support installation maintenance and upgrade activities within gateway headend and central office environments. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience installing and supporting telecommunications equipment in carrier facilities headends gateways or customer premise locations.

• Install configure and support telecommunications equipment within gateway and central office environments.
• Perform cross-connect installations and jumper cable terminations.
• Complete equipment upgrades including card additions and replacements.
• Install and maintain tertiary DC power systems.
• Rack stack secure and cable telecommunications equipment.
• Conduct circuit testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard test equipment.
• Support equipment integration turn-up and commissioning activities.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings schematics and installation documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety requirements and installation standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installation testing and maintenance activities.

• Experience working in telecommunications environments such as gateways headends central offices or customer premise locations.
• Hands-on experience installing upgrading and supporting telecom equipment.
• Knowledge of cross-connects jumper installations and cable management practices.
• Experience performing circuit testing and troubleshooting using appropriate test equipment.
• Familiarity with DC power systems and related installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation installation guides and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a structured team environment.

• Previous experience supporting carrier broadband or network infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of telecommunications network architecture and equipment integration processes.
• Experience working in live network environments while maintaining service continuity.

• Work is performed primarily within central office gateway and telecommunications facility environments.
• Position may require lifting equipment climbing ladders bending and standing for extended periods.
• Travel to customer or project sites may be required.
• Strict adherence to all company customer and site-specific safety procedures is mandatory.

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined equipment spaces.
• Ability to stand walk bend and reach for extended periods during installation activities.
