Job Summary
CNC OD Grinder
Join a leading manufacturer and put your CNC grinding skills to work in a precision machining environment. We are seeking a CNC OD Grinder / Operator to set up and operate CNC grinding equipment producing high-quality carbide and steel cutting tools while maintaining close tolerances and maximizing efficiency.
What Youll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision machining operations.
- Perform frequent machine changeovers for custom and small-batch orders.
- Select grinding wheels tooling and programs; adjust as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Operate multiple machines when production requirements allow.
- Enter production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
What Were Looking For:
- CNC Certificate or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
- 1 year of CNC machine setup and operation experience.
- Grinding experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints shop drawings and work instructions.
- Strong math and trigonometry skills.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Computer skills and ability to enter machine programs and production data.
- Experience with CNC grinding equipment such as Toyoda Studer Mitsubishi Tschudin Kellenberger or Reinecker is highly desirable.
