Job Summary
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in one of the following:
- Internal Medicine OR
- Endocrinology OR
- Family Medicine/Family Practice
- Active and unrestricted medical license (state to be confirmed)
- DEA licensure
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of clinical practice experience
- Minimum 3-5 years in healthcare leadership/administrative role
- Previous experience as Medical Director Associate CMO or VP of Medical Affairs preferred
- Experience with quality improvement utilization management and clinical protocol development
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Provide strategic medical direction and oversight for all clinical operations
- Develop and implement clinical policies procedures and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CMS Joint Commission state regulations)
- Lead clinical quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Oversee credentialing and privileging processes
Operational Management
- Collaborate with C-suite executives on organizational strategy
- Manage medical staff and provider relationships
- Oversee clinical protocols and evidence-based practice guidelines
- Monitor clinical outcomes quality metrics and patient satisfaction
- Lead utilization review and care management programs
Team Leadership
- Recruit mentor and develop physician leaders and clinical staff
- Foster culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement
- Serve as liaison between medical staff and administration
- Lead medical staff meetings and committees
Strategic Initiatives
- Drive population health management strategies
- Support value-based care and risk-based contracting initiatives
- Implement technology solutions and telehealth programs
- Develop and expand clinical service lines
