Job Summary

must have BS in electronics / Electrical / mechanical / CS with 5 years experience testing fire safety products / NICET certification
2 years of experience with new product development agency approvals / electrical / electronic test laboratory
Set up new electrical product test lab testing safety standards to perform regulatory testing to standards
Revise existing and create new test and quality procedures for the new lab with assistance of regulatory manager
Act as regulatory technical expert to support compliance with new & existing Fire projects
Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams clarify document changes and technical publication team
Define product approval strategy in the areas of design functionality and documentation
Prepare test plans setup systems coordinate testing and obtain approval results with agencies
Perform software & hardware testing to identify performance gaps & improvement
Analyze risks & priorities to management project schedule
Resolve ongoing compliance with engineering marketing & technical publication teams
Utilize quality control procedures and approval guides to perform responsible test executions
Identify test failure root causes and work with engineers on corrective action to resolve failures

experience working in certified UL DAP FM LABQUAL / Intertek Satellite test lab
experience with certification agencies UL/ULC ETL FM
Engineering product development / design validation experience
