Job Summary
Job Summary for Business Analyst Con Edison NY NY (Onsite)
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to define and document business/system requirements and solutions.
- Gather analyze and manage business functional and non-functional requirements through interviews workshops and meetings.
- Analyze and improve current business processes for efficiency standardization automation and operational effectiveness.
- Create comprehensive documentation (requirements documents user stories process flows use cases gap analysis test scenarios).
- Translate business needs into actionable requirements for development implementation and support.
- Support system testing user acceptance testing defect management and validation of solutions against requirements.
- Manage requirements across the project lifecycle including change management and stakeholder expectation alignment.
- Collaborate with project managers developers QA analysts and operations to ensure successful project delivery.
- (Preferred) Analyze workflows and business processes in utility/power systems environments (e.g. outage management grid operations asset management integrations).
- Utilize business analysis tools and methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall/hybrid) and support enterprise/operational/data integration/reporting/workflow optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with testing change management and production support best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Engineering Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of business analysis or systems analysis experience.
- Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) is required.
- Strong analytical problem-solving facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience in the utility or power systems sector is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with requirements management process mapping gap analysis and solution validation.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum Waterfall or hybrid project delivery.
- Experience supporting enterprise and operational systems data integration and reporting initiatives.
