Job Summary:

As a Bindery - Assistant you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations across various Bindery equipment by performing a variety of manual tasks to ensure a clean organized and efficient work environment. This position plays a vital role in assisting skilled workers handling materials preparing workstations and maintaining workplace safety and productivity.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general labor tasks such as material handling staging and loading products.
  • Assist machine operators with job set-up and basic tasks as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned areas by sweeping disposing of waste and maintaining supply levels.
  • Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth
  • Operate basic tools and equipment safely and as directed.
  • Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
  • Ability to read interpret and follow verbal and written instructions work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.
  • Ability to be flexible dependable and have a strong work ethic is essential.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls tools or equipment.
  • May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.

Minimum Requirements:
