About the Role: An all-female evaluation team is seeking a Bilingual Yiddish School Psychologist to conduct psycho-educational assessments for children ages 35 across Brooklyn and Staten Island. This role focuses on determining eligibility for special education services and supporting early childhood developmental evaluations in a structured collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate is clinically strong detail-oriented and experienced working with young children. They are professional compassionate and able to communicate effectively with families while providing clear accurate evaluations in both English and Yiddish.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psycho-educational evaluations for children ages 35
Administer and interpret standardized psychological and developmental assessments in Yiddish and English
Assess cognitive social-emotional adaptive and behavioral functioning
Prepare detailed evaluation reports in compliance with NYCDOE and NYS standards
Collaborate with families teachers and multidisciplinary teams on IEP development
Provide clear feedback and guidance to parents regarding evaluation results
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
NYS Bilingual Extension in Yiddish required
Experience with preschool-age evaluations (ages 35)
Familiarity with CPSE evaluation tools
Strong written English skills and fluent Yiddish communication (spoken and written)
