Job Summary
Controls Technician III
We are seeking an experiencedControls Technician III to install maintain troubleshoot and optimize industrial control systems and automation equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of PLCs instrumentation sensors and control networks while supporting safe and efficient production processes.
Schedule: First Shift MondayFriday 7:00 AM3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Install configure and maintain PLC and HMI systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical instrumentation and industrial control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment.
- Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation including pressure flow temperature and level devices.
- Analyze system faults and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics P&IDs and control drawings.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of system changes.

- CMMS platforms (such as Fiix CMMS PM or similar)
- Process trend and diagnostic tools

- Laptop-based programming and diagnostic tools
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology Automation or a related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Five (5) or more years of experience working with industrial control systems.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Motor control systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) including VFD programming
- Industrial communication networks including EtherNet/IP and Modbus
- Proven ability to troubleshoot repair and calibrate electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety practices is preferred; training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment such as food and beverage dairy or process manufacturing.
- Understanding of process control loops and PID tuning.
- Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
