How Youll Make an Impact

As an Automation Technician youll be at the forefront of our innovation driving the reliability performance and advancement of automated manufacturing systems. Youll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

In This Role You Will:

• Troubleshoot diagnose and repair automated production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational excellence.
• Assemble wire test and debug new automation and manufacturing equipment.
• Support the design fabrication commissioning and implementation of automation solutions that improve productivity and quality.
• Inspect equipment and tooling to identify improvement opportunities and proactively address performance issues.
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of essential components.
• Develop implement and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Train manufacturing support employees and Process Technicians on the operation and basic troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• Track analyze and report equipment utilization efficiency and reliability metrics.
• Disassemble clean repair and reassemble tooling fixtures and production equipment as required.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) work instructions safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within a medical device manufacturing environment.
• Support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives while contributing to safety quality productivity scrap reduction and continuous improvement goals.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a two-year technical degree or associate degree in mechanical electrical electronics servo pneumatic systems or a related technical discipline.
• Three or more years of hands-on experience in automation maintenance equipment repair manufacturing automation or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience building testing commissioning and supporting automated production equipment.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems including installation troubleshooting and repair.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical electronic servo and pneumatic systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and support others.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of accountability integrity and adaptability.

• Standing walking or operating equipment for extended periods
• Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided
• Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment
• Occasional lifting or movement of materials
• Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards
