The Athletic Communications Department promotes Union College student-athletes through our website and wide-ranging media relations efforts. This position offers students a variety of communications opportunities for those interested in the athletic communications field.
Below are some of the possible responsibilities taken on by students in this position. Candidates may choose to specialize in one area but may be asked to take on other duties as needed.
Assisting at home athletic events with statistical inputting and spotting
Running the clock scoreboard or other game operations at home games
Writing game recaps for posting on the athletics website
Producing social media graphics website maintenance etc.
Additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
Knowledge of sports is preferred
Professionalism and positive attitude
Ability to work nights and weekends
Attention to detail
Ability to take direction and learn
Location: Schenectady NY
