The Opportunity

This position works out of our Irving TX location in the Transfusion Medicine Diagnostics Division. Were empowering smarter medical and economic decision-making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day more than 10 million tests are run on Abbotts diagnostics instruments providing lab results for millions of people.

The Associate Technician IV provides advanced technical support to manufacturing operations by performing a combination of complex duties involving the setup calibration validation and operation of production equipment along with the application of quantitative methods in support of highquality diagnostic instrument and reagent production.

What Youll Work On

  • Create maintain and procure equipment tools and manufacturing aids specific to the functional area including submitting IMT equipment for calibration.

  • Perform equipment validations.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers to support and execute product design.

  • Manage inventory levels of production consumables.

  • Support troubleshooting of instrument functional errors.

  • Manage the dekitting process.

  • Apply statistical mathematical and other quantitative and qualitative methods and measurements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Advanced skills in computer hardware and software applications (e.g. eDHR/CAMSTAR configuration Botron Maximo etc.)

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or another technical field
