What You Will Do
Create and update 2D engineering drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards and internal guidelines
Coordinate with design engineers to detail components and assemblies resolving design issues and ensuring accuracy of design intent
Review engineering drawings to confirm completeness compliance with standards and readiness for release within defined timelines
Transfer legacy CAD files and drawings from PLM systems into SolidWorks PDM updating formats to current standards and maintaining data integrity
Operate and maintain in-house tools including 3D printers and 3D scanners to support prototyping and design validation activities
Build and test simple fixtures and assemblies to support engineering projects and verify design functionality
Maintain and update CAD templates drawing standards and best practices in alignment with internal and industry requirements
Prioritize assigned work and communicate task status timelines and updates to project stakeholders
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma plus 5 years relevant work experience or associate degree plus 2 years relevant work experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using 3D CAD software in a professional setting.
Understanding ofdrafting standards and dimensioning practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Previous experience in CAD modeling assembly creation drawing development and product data management using SolidWorks.
Associates degree or higher in Drafting CAD Technology or a related discipline.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional (GDTP) certification.
SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or SolidWorks Expert (CSWE) certification.
$31.92 - $44.88 USD Hourly
