About the Role:

An established litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to independently manage a diverse litigation docket while working closely with experienced attorneys carrier clients and litigation support teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience preferably within insurance defense and be comfortable handling matters from intake through resolution. Attorneys in this role will gain meaningful courtroom exposure direct client interaction and hands-on experience managing sophisticated litigation matters across multiple practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance defense matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings motions briefs and litigation correspondence
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Take and defend depositions including expert and key witness depositions
• Attend hearings mediations arbitrations and trials
• Communicate proactively with carrier clients regarding strategy budgets and case updates
• Manage experts litigation budgets and compliance with carrier guidelines
• Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and legal support staff

What Were Looking For:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Arizona and/or New Mexico Bar license
• 2 9 years of civil litigation experience primarily insurance defense
• Trial or arbitration experience including second chair experience
• Experience working with carrier clients and litigation guidelines
• Strong research writing advocacy and case management skills
• Track record of accurate and compliant billing practices
• Proficiency with legal research and case management platforms
