ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components including installation adhesive bonding drilling tapping torquing lubricating and wiring
Work from engineering drawings work instructions and wiring diagrams
Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes
Utilize various hand tools and other standard tools to complete work tasks
Utilize the proper chemicals; must be able to understand safety data and shelf-life information
Accurately inspect the condition of incoming hardware
Follow EHS compliance for wind turbine assembly and test
Perform complete and accurate quality documentation
Assist in implementation of wind turbine documentation and process improvements
Initiate and drive process improvements
Operate forklift and crane
Maintain manual or computerized records
Must Adhere to and follow all safety procedures i.e. lock-out/tag-out report safety concerns use appropriate PPE as required and follow similar safety practices
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass background and drug screens
Willing and able to work any shift and overtime including weekends
Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Manufacturing/mechanical experience using electrical and pneumatic air hand tools
Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories
Complete and maintain Characteristic Verification Plan (CVP) Certification
Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
Follow and promote safe work practices
Communicate effectively with others
