Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to assist employees with everyday technology needs across clinical and administrative departments. This role supports the smooth operation of internal systems user access healthcare software and basic hardware in a privacy-focused HIPAA-compliant environment.

The right candidate will be friendly organized technically capable and comfortable helping users with varying levels of computer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical support to clinical and office staff by phone email and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot common technology issues including login problems password resets account access email VPN connectivity software errors and basic hardware concerns
  • Assist users with access to healthcare systems EMR/EHR platforms and other internal applications
  • Follow established troubleshooting steps support guides and internal IT procedures
  • Record support requests troubleshooting notes resolutions and escalations accurately in the ticketing system
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff application support teams or management when appropriate
  • Deliver professional patient and helpful service to employees in both clinical and non-clinical roles
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient employee and company information in accordance with HIPAA and internal security standards
  • Help with new user setup access changes and basic application support as needed
  • Provide additional support during system changes high-volume periods updates or special projects

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current HIPAA training certification or compliance credential required
  • Previous experience in help desk service desk desktop support technical support or a similar IT role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office email systems user accounts passwords VPN access and common workplace applications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm professional and helpful when assisting users under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document support activity clearly
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Preferred Experience

  • Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience supporting technology in a healthcare medical office clinical or regulated setting
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems or healthcare-related software
  • Experience using ticketing platforms remote support tools or IT documentation systems
