Assembler Technician

EDUCATION/TRAINING: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred one to two years Trade School or experience in industrial machining.

SECIAL SKILLS: Lathe work grinding drilling fitting and pressing operation ability to read and use micrometers and gauges; knowledge of parts must work well with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check drive card for special instructions.
• Check gear serial numbers model and ratio to ensure they meet drive card specifications.
• Check ground surfaces on shafts for damage to critical areas.
• Assemble and set bearings and gears to specifications mounting distances and backlash.
• Check position of oil line to spiral bevel gears.
• Inspect and ensure assembly is complete.
• Documentation gear MDs spacer lengths gear serial numbers bearing settings heat numbers (if applicable) are recorded onto drive card.
• Paperwork forwarded and filed as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing at least 8 hours per day lifting to 50 lbs. frequent bending and stooping.
