The Administrative Assistant provides operational and administrative support to leadership faculty staff and departmental initiatives within a fast-paced higher education environment. This role is responsible for supporting daily office operations coordinating communications managing schedules organizing documents assisting with meetings and events and handling general administrative duties. The ideal candidate is highly organized professional detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to leadership and departmental teams
Manage calendars schedules appointments and meeting coordination
Prepare organize and maintain reports files records and documentation
Coordinate internal and external communications including emails and phone inquiries
Assist with meeting logistics agendas note-taking and follow-up tasks
Maintain office supplies and support daily office operations
Support special projects departmental initiatives and event coordination
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information and records
Assist students faculty staff and visitors with professionalism and excellent customer service
Perform data entry and maintain databases and tracking systems
Handle general clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Previous administrative or office support experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Customer service-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a higher education or academic environment
Familiarity with office management systems and administrative procedures
