Job Summary
We are partnering with a well-established public sector organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee critical financial operations and support the organizations long-term fiscal success.
Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations including AP AR payroll general ledger cash receipts purchasing and capital assets
Assist with budget preparation financial reporting forecasting and analysis
Manage monthly reconciliations journal entries and financial statements
Coordinate annual audits grants compliance ACFR preparation and internal controls
Supervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards policies and regulations

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
Municipal/government accounting experience strongly preferred
Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience within a public sector or municipal environment
Strong knowledge of fund accounting budgeting financial reporting audits and internal controls
CPA and/or Masters degree preferred
Excellent leadership analytical and communication skills
