ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Examples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience teaching accounting courses particularly introductory-level classes using interactive instructional practices that promote student engagement success and retention. Commitment to examine reflect and modify instructional relational and classroom practices to better support historically underrepresented and marginalized students including students with disabilities with the goal of advancing equity and closing achievement gaps.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration OR Bachelors in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Masters in business business administration business education economics taxation finance or the equivalent OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. ( NOTE : A bachelors degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration with a CPA license is an alternative qualification for this discipline.) Commitment to diversity.
