We are partnered with a wellestablished CPA firm in Wilmington DE that is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounting (A&A) Manager to join its leadership team. This role serves as a key liaison between partners clients and professional staff and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing engagements mentoring teams and building longterm client relationships.
The A&A Manager will oversee multiple audit and accounting engagements simultaneously while helping guide the development and growth of both staff and the firm.
What Youll Do
Manage all phases of audit compilation and review engagements
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients maintaining a deep understanding of their businesses
Plan schedule and staff engagements while managing workflow and budgets
Supervise review and provide feedback on workpapers reports and financial statements
Evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with professional and firm standards
Anticipate engagement risks and proactively address issues as they arise
Keep partners informed of engagement status challenges and proposed solutions
Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements tax returns and client communications
Mentor and develop staff through training coaching and performance evaluations
Assist with billing client fee discussions and collections as needed
Participate in practice development efforts including client expansion and referral relationships
Stay informed on economic regulatory and legislative developments impacting clients
What Our Client Is Looking For
Bachelors degree in Accounting
7 years of public accounting experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility and engagement management
Active CPA license required
Strong background in audit and accounting engagements
Proven experience supervising mentoring and developing staff
Excellent clientfacing communication and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
