Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo CA is seeking a Software Engineer I Embedded / Radar to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What You Will Do:

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with guidance as needed.

• Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle including SW/HW integration

• Develop RT embedded SW specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.

• Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.

• Work with teams across multiple disciplines internal and external

• Join program and customer meetings/reviews

• Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making problem resolution.

• Help to ensure performance to technical cost schedule quality.

• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.

• Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo CA Campus

• Must be able to obtain special access programs (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year ofprogressive experience in embedded software development

• Development experience coding in C/C/ADA or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required.

• Experience working on UNIX Linux Windows VxWorks or other RTOS

• Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.

• Introductory Experience with design code integration and test of software into a large software baseline and large system

• Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance

• Experience developing Radar Software applications

• Direct experience with Agile methodologies.

• Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.

• Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

  The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
