The role
Ensuring our theatres are cleaned to the highest standards isnt just about meeting regulations its about protecting our patients supporting our staff and delivering the best possible care. A dedicated full-time theatre cleaner is essential to maintaining a safe and efficient environment where surgical teams can focus on their work without worrying about cleaning responsibilities.
This role will ensure that we stay compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness and infection prevention guidelines all while working towards achieving an Outstanding rating. More importantly it will help us provide a safer cleaner and more efficient hospital for both patients and staff.
This position will also take on the responsibility of completing and actioning all tendable reporting ensuring that our cleaning audits are accurately documented areas for improvement are promptly addressed and we maintain full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness and Functional Risk (FR) 1 requirements.
In addition to their cleaning responsibilities the theatre cleaner will also play a key role in reporting and managing theatre maintenance issues. By regularly working within the theatre environment they will be well-placed to identify and report any maintenance concerns such as damaged flooring faulty lighting or issues with ventilation ensuring that any risks to cleanliness safety and operational efficiency are addressed promptly. By working closely with the facilities and maintenance teams the theatre cleaner will support a more efficient and responsive approach to theatre upkeep further enhancing infection control and patient safety.

Fulwood Hall Hospital with scope to work over all 3 sites including Euxton and Buckshaw.
