Sustainability Manager

This role will support the delivery of Shawbrooks sustainability strategy by working closely with the banks Head of Sustainability within the Chief of Staff Office. 

This is a cross-functional role which will play a critical role in implementing measuring and reporting on Shawbrooks sustainability strategy including collaborating closely with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the embedding and execution of the Groups sustainability strategy and agreed strategic priorities Empowering our People Strengthening Society and Securing a Sustainable Future working with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes monitoring external developments industry standards and regulations that may affect the strategy evaluating impact and suggesting amendments as appropriate.
• Manage processes for delivering our sustainability-related reporting and disclosures in line with external frameworks (including UK SRS). This includes data collection and verification for all publicly disclosed metrics and targets.
• Own the management of internal governance committees and working groups related to sustainability. This includes preparation of papers minutes and actions including follow-ups with stakeholders.
• Manage the in-house emissions measurement process and analysis working closely with Finance and Risk function to ensure accurate and robust outputs.
• Manage all charitable and volunteering-related activities and processes. This includes working with our strategic charity partner.

Qualifications :

Key Attributes

• Proven experience in sustainability ideally within financial services
• Flexibility resilience being self-sufficient and able to work well under pressure with often changing priorities.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Self-starter and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment with colleagues at all levels.
• Good communications skills- high standard of written communications and presentation production and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
• Strong communication project management and analytical skills and be able to create compelling presentations with attention to detail.
