The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef you will act as a key leader within the brigade and help drive standards across all aspects of the kitchen.
You will:
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead service confidently and deputise in the Head Chefs absence
Help manage ordering stock control supplier relationships and kitchen organisation
Support menu development using outstanding Scottish produce
Train mentor and motivate junior members of the team
Maintain high standards of food quality consistency presentation and hygiene
Contribute to a positive kitchen culture built around professionalism collaboration and development
This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys both cooking and leadership and who wants to be part of a business with clear ambitions for the future.
About You
Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
Experience within 2 AA Rosette Michelin Guide or equivalent quality-led kitchens
Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor younger chefs
Passionate about seasonal produce and Scottish ingredients
Organised calm and commercially aware
Positive grounded and team-focused in your approach
Looking for a long-term role within a quality independent business
