Job Summary
Chef de Partie / Hospital Chef Elland Full Time Permanent 37.5 hours per week
Spire Elland has a great opportunity for a Chef to come and join there busy catering department
As Chef youll play a key role in delivering a first-class dining experience for our patients staff and visitors. Youll prepare and present nutritious high-quality meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety hygiene and customer service.
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider hospitality team youll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen and deputise when required.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Preparing and cooking fresh high-quality meals for patients staff and visitors
- Supporting the delivery of specialist dietary requirements and nutritional needs
- Maintaining excellent standards of food presentation and service
- Ensuring compliance with food safety HACCP and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control deliveries and kitchen administration
- Supporting catering for meetings and special events
- Maintaining a clean safe and organised kitchen environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital
Who are we looking for
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a busy catering hospitality or healthcare environment
- Experience preparing meals for large numbers of people
- A Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive and flexible approach
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene
