Description

Kepak Group is a leading European food producer and meat processor operating multiple manufacturing plants across Ireland and the UK. We supply high-quality beef and lamb products to retail and foodservice customers with a strong focus on sustainability animal welfare and operational excellence. Our Aberdeen facility is seeking a Packing Chargehand to help drive production efficiency and uphold our commitment to quality and safety.

As a Packing Chargehand you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our packing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example maintaining high standards and supporting your team to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining health & safety hygiene and quality standards throughout the packing department
  • Operating and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Inspecting and evaluating product suitability for packaging according to company and customer specifications
  • Supporting the planning monitoring and control of resources to meet production targets
  • Managing waste and ensuring compliance with environmental standards
  • Completing duties within required timescales to achieve daily production goals
  • Contributing to the training and development of team members and self
  • Monitoring department housekeeping tidiness and fabric maintenance
  • Carrying out additional duties as directed by the Production Manager or Directors


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a high-volume food processing factory
  • Experience in a packing or production leadership role (such as chargehand line leader or supervisor) within a manufacturing environment
  • Work experience in food production or meat processing manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work in a chilled environment
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
  • Food Safety certification
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Availability to start work at 6:00am and flexibility for variable finishing times
