Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Provisioning Engineer to join a large-scale technology transformation programme within a leading global financial services organisation.
This role will focus on the design provisioning automation and optimisation of cloud infrastructure within a modern engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable cloud platforms driving infrastructure automation and enhancing developer productivity through the adoption of modern DevOps and AI-assisted engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design provision and maintain cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Build and manage Kubernetes and container-based platforms to support scalable and resilient applications.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Create automation solutions using Python to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
Implement and enhance automated deployment pipelines for cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Work closely with engineering architecture and platform teams to ensure cloud environments are secure scalable and aligned to best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve platform efficiency reliability and developer experience.
Drive DevOps optimisation initiatives leveraging modern tooling and AI-assisted development capabilities.
Support continuous improvement of cloud provisioning deployment and operational processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience provisioning and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
Proven experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies in enterprise environments.
Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and automated cloud provisioning.
Strong Python development and scripting skills for infrastructure automation.
Experience designing and implementing automated infrastructure deployment solutions and CI/CD practices.
Experience optimising DevOps via Git Hub Co-Pilot and Claude Code
