Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our clients P&I team. The role involves handling complex maritime claims coordinating with international P&I Clubs vessel owners legal experts and maritime authorities while ensuring exceptional service delivery and effective claims management within the shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of P&I and maritime claims ensuring effective coordination and resolution.
• Manage complex incidents including collisions cargo damage pollution crew injuries and disputes.
• Interpret surveyor reports and provide expert value-driven recommendations.
• Liaise with P&I Clubs lawyers surveyors government authorities and medical institutions.
• Ensure full compliance with IG Club guidelines HSSE and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
• Support business development initiatives and identify new opportunities.
• Lead and mentor team members through training supervision and performance management.

Qualifications

• Qualification from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) or a Maritime Lawyer.
• Minimum 5 years experience in shipping P&I or claims handling.
• Strong knowledge of maritime law P&I operations and claims processes.
• Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of financial/management concepts will be an advantage.
• Willingness to be on-call during critical maritime incidents.
