Job Overview
Our client is looking for a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager Public Sector to drive business growth by promoting products and services to government ministries state institutions and public-sector organizations. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship management proposal handling and business development skills with experience in public-sector sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies targeting government and public-sector organizations
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential public-sector clients
Support the Sales Manager in preparing proposals tenders quotations and presentations
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and post-sales support
Conduct market research to identify industry trends competitor activities and new business opportunities
Track sales performance and prepare reports to support business growth
Participate in promotional activities meetings and events related to the public sector
Requirements
Minimum G.C.E. A/L qualification; a degree or professional qualification in Sales Marketing or Business Management will be an added advantage
Minimum 24 years of experience in sales or business development preferably within the public sector
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tender procedures
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
Ability to build long-term professional relationships and manage multiple priorities
Self-motivated proactive and capable of working independently and within a team
Preferred Skills
Strong business development and client management capabilities
Good analytical and reporting skills
Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets
Prior experience handling government or institutional accounts will be an added advantage
