The Position

This role requires a deep technical understanding of how the internet and private transport works. You will leverage advanced observability to hold global ISPs accountable ensure global operational standards and optimize the circuit portfolio to meet the enterprises evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Service & Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee all lifecycle phases of connectivity products including global procurement capacity planning activation financial control and eventual decommissioning of infrastructure assets and hardware.

  • Proactive Capacity Planning & Environment Optimization: Lead and regularly review capacity planning processes to ensure global infrastructure is proactively scaled resilient and optimized for current and future enterprise demands.

  • Connectivity Project Delivery: Direct the technical implementation timelines and optimization of connectivity solutions for major strategic initiatives technology migrations site rollouts and M&A integrations.

  • Strategic Provider & Performance Governance: Manage relationships with global carriers and vendors through recurring Service Review Meetings (SRMs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) to ensure strict SLA contractual and operational compliance.

  • Process Automation & Service Visibility Leadership: Drive process improvements and automation workflows (e.g. ServiceNow dashboards and catalog management) to reduce operational effort and maximize visibility across the Connectivity Product Line.

  • Advanced Service Observability & Telemetry: Utilize advanced network monitoring and telemetry tools to proactively track link health and performance providing source of truth data to isolate external provider vs. internal infrastructure issues.

  • Cross-Domain Adaptability: Flexibly adapt operational governance delivery methodologies and technical oversight across other connectivity frameworks (such as LAN WLAN Data Center and Cloud) as business priorities shift.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Network Engineering Informatics or equivalent technical experience.

Experience

  • 57 years of experience in network engineering or operations with a strong focus on enterprise routing and global WAN transport.

  • Proven track record of managing major delivery of a relevant type in a large scale and challenging global context.

  • Demonstrable expertise in ITIL/ITSM processes (Incident Change Problem Management) within a large enterprise environment.
