Job Summary

Location: Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home)

The Global Scientific Training DirectorCVRMwillreport into the Global Medical Capabilities lead on the Global Medical Excellence & Ethics team andownthe launch readinesslearningstrategy forGlobalMedical andFieldMedicalteamsinBioPharmaceuticalsMedical. Partnering acrossthe TAand markets thisrolewill convertmedical strategy and launch plans into role-based curriculaandscenario-based practice to buildknowledge andcapabilityin the pre-launchspace.The Director willbe aligned to lead training across several brands liaise with subject matter experts and collaborate with Global and LocalMedical Affairs Leadersand Scientific Communications colleaguesto produce engagingand impactfullearningexperiencessupporting the overall medical strategy and vision. The Director will also collaborate withMSL Excellence & Performancelocal Medical Excellenceas well asGlobalMedical Capabilitiespartnerstoidentifyand develop skillstraining to enhancecustomerengagementanddrive performance. TheDirectorwillutilizeAI-enabled toolsto deliverindividualizedlearning to ensure learningapplicationandbehaviourchange andmeasure the impact of theseexperiences.

CoreAccountabilities

  • Strategic leadership and performance consulting: Define the global learning strategyforlaunchbrands assess training needsbased on available data and insightsand recommend the right training solutions to drive performance causechangeandachievepre-launchoutcomes.

  • Therapeutic area curriculadevelopment: Builda holistic learning experiencespanning disease state patient journey therapeutic landscape and evidence (pre-clinical clinical real-world) plus capabilities/skillstraining to communicateand apply thescience effectivelyand drive brand and field strategyand execution.Use AI tools for asset creation as well as skills development.

  • Content development and vendor management: Directinternal/externalsuppliersto produce innovative interactive and blended learning content while creating supplemental content in-houseutilizingAI-enabled tools.

  • Learningexperienceinnovation:Leverage adult learning principlesandAI-enabledtechnologyto deliver effective and meaningful learning experiences alongside the design of novel training solutions to bolster learner engagementlearning transfer and behavior change.

  • Communicationexcellenceand change management:Communicatewithglobal andlocal collaborators and learners to ensure awarenessand adoption.Collaborateacross Medical ExcellenceBioPharmaceuticalsMedical Business Units and functions such as Commercial and Market Access teams toidentifyandbenefitfromsynergiesacrosstheorganization.

  • Contentmanagement:Maintaina content managementstrategyso training assetsremaincurrentand globallyaccessible.

  • Business impact measurement:Establishmetricsand feedback loops todeterminebusiness impactand drive continuous improvement.

  • Budget stewardship: ManageTA trainingbudgets.

  • Travel: Travel as needed (e.g. pre-congress trainingand key livetrainingevents).

Required education experience & skills

  • Education: Advanced scientificdegree(MD PhD PharmDorMasters inHealthSciences) orBachelorswith substantial clinical/scientific experience.

  • Industry experience: 57 years in biopharma includingglobal and localMedical Affairs (both field and HQ).

  • Trainingexpertise:Learning and Development experience with proven ability to design and deliver Medical/Scientific training grounded in adult learning principlesfor effectiveon the job application.

  • Strategy and execution: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate medicalstrategyinto training deliverables; competence in prioritizationand project management.

  • Collaboration and communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills relationship-building cross-functional collaborationinfluencing without authorityand clear audience-centered communicationand storytelling.Ability to be a key strategic partner to the TA/Disease Area/Brand.

Desired education experience & skills

  • Medical Affairs depth: Experience spanning clinical development global launch readiness and field medical.

  • Digital innovation: Advanced digital literacy;proficiencywithAI-enabledtools.

  • Change leadership: Experience in change managementin a complex environment.
