Divisional Risk Engineer

PG Bison a proudly South African world-class manufacturer of wood-based decorative panels and associated products is seeking an experienced Divisional Risk Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team at our Boksburg site. A responsible and experienced individual to lead operational risk programmes and ensure the effective management of risks across the business. The role is accountable for protecting people assets processes and production continuity through proactive risk management SHE compliance and strong governance practices.

• Identify assess and monitor engineering process and operational risks across manufacturing operations.
• Conduct hazard identification studies risk assessments and risk-based inspections to support safe and reliable operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation standards and internal risk governance requirements.
• Develop review and maintain risk registers mitigation plans and engineering risk reports.
• Support incident investigations root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve process safety asset integrity and continuous risk reduction initiatives.

• Grade 12
• Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with GCC for Factories.
• At least 10 to 15 years within manufacturing process safety or engineering disciplines.
• Hands-on experience in conducting quantitative risk analyses risk-based inspection planning and hazard identification.
• Strong analytical systematic and detail- orientated approach.
• Understanding of OHS Act MHI Regulations PER risk governance and corporate risk culture
• Strong knowledge of engineering risk management principles process safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings equipment specifications and plant operating conditions.
• Excellent report writing presentation and communication skills across operational and management levels.
• Sound problem-solving decision-making and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and familiarity with risk assessment and inspection methodologies.
• High level of integrity accountability and attention to detail
